Mary Trump playfully mocked her uncle, Donald Trump, for giving new meaning to the “two-letter” word “us.”
In a video clip from one of the former president's 2024 campaign appearances, Donald Trump expressed his commitment to his followers, stating, “I'm for us. You know how you spell us, right? U.S. I just picked that up. Has anyone ever thought of that before? You know when you think about it, us equals U.S. If we think of something genius, they will never say it.”
Mary Trump, a psychologist and critic of her uncle and the Republican party, shared the video with a cheeky comment: “aMErica.”
She quipped, “News recently broke that Donald can spell a two-letter word. I'll soon discuss, in polysyllabic words he likely can’t spell, how Donald uses a plethora of deflection, projection, and megalomania, all to keep his fragile ego from imploding.”
Mary Trump has previously described her uncle and his family as transactional, suggesting that if it served his interests, Donald Trump wouldn’t hesitate to sacrifice even his daughter, Ivanka Trump.
Given this context, it’s no surprise that her uncle’s comment on “us” drew her attention.
Despite legal challenges and significant opposition, Donald Trump maintains a substantial lead in the Republican primary race.
