Sony Group Corp. SONY has finally revealed the launch dates for its much-awaited PlayStation Pulse Explore earbuds and Pulse Elite headset.
What Happened: Sony is planning to introduce the Pulse Explore earbuds on Dec. 6, 2023, and the Pulse Elite headset is slated for release on Feb. 21, 2024.
Preorders for these products will commence on Nov. 9 in the US, UK, France, Germany, and additional European countries on Sony’s PlayStation direct site and at select retailers.

The Pulse Explore earbuds are marked at $199.99, and the Pulse Elite headset will retail for a slightly lower price of $149.99. Sony's PlayStation Link USB adapter, which is required to enable the lossless, low-latency audio, comes with these devices and can also be purchased separately for $24.99.
The earbuds and headset from Sony are designed to facilitate 3D audio and seamless switching between compatible devices. They also allow users to manage calls and listen to music while gaming.
Why It Matters: The release of these devices builds on Sony’s ongoing expansion into the gaming hardware space.
Earlier this year, Sony launched its PlayStation Portal handheld, which allows users to stream PlayStation games on the go. Priced at $199.99, this handheld device was released with an 8-inch LCD.
Adding the Pulse Explore earbuds and Pulse Elite headset to Sony’s gaming lineup further enhances the company’s offerings, providing gamers with more immersive and flexible experiences.
