Come Back To Office For 10 Days A Month - India's Tech Giant Infosys Tells Entry And Mid-Level Employees

Infosys Limited INFY urged select remotely working employees to attend office ten days a month from November 20.

The select employees in entry-to-mid-level roles had been working remotely full-time since the pandemic.

Infosys' other employees can work remotely, Bloomberg cites from the internal email.

Recently, Infosys cofounder Narayana Murthy' advocated that young Indians should work 70 hours a week, contradicting Infosys's official stance on complete employee flexibility.

India's IT services providers joined their global counterparts in requesting workers to return, seeking to boost efficiencies. 

In October, Infosys trimmed its full-year sales forecast and disclosed suspending some hiring.

Infosys' Indian rival Tata Consultancy Services Ltd urged multiple employees to return to the office for five days a week, starting October 1. In October, Amazon.Com Inc AMZN updated its office guidelines, requiring employees to attend its office thrice a week.

In October, Infosys reported second-quarter revenue growth of 3.6% year-on-year to $4.72 billion, beating the consensus of $4.61 billion. EPS of $0.18 was in line with the consensus of $0.18.

Infosys expects FY24 revenue growth of 1.0% - 2.5% in constant currency vs. consensus $18.71 billion.

Price Action: INFY shares traded lower by 0.52% at $16.34 on the last check Wednesday.
