Apple Inc. AAPL reportedly ceased efforts to make its Apple Watch and Health app compatible with Android devices,

A source familiar with the decision stated to Bloomberg, “If you gave up the watch to Android, you would dilute the value of the watch to the iPhone.”
Had it been successful, the halted project would have extended Apple’s health services to a larger global audience, particularly in markets where Android dominates.
This is not the first time Apple has chosen not to extend its services to Android. Documents from the lawsuit by Epic Games against Apple in 2020 revealed that the tech giant decided as early as 2013 not to develop an Android version of iMessage.
