Trump Lashes Out At Judge Overseeing His New York Fraud Trial: 'Crazy, Totally Unhinged And Dangerous'

Former President Donald Trump has launched a fresh tirade against the judge presiding over his New York civil fraud trial, branding him as “crazy” and “unhinged.”

What Happened: Trump, in a Truth Social post, targeted Judge Arthur Engoron on Wednesday for his rulings in the trial, accusing him of political bias.

The former president claimed Engoron was “doing the dirty work for the Democrat Party.”

Trump described the judge as a “political hack” who had unfairly ruled against him ahead of the trial. He further alleged that Engoron had imposed unjust fines and denied his requests for delay.

“Engoron is crazy, totally unhinged, and dangerous – Our Judicial System has gone to HELL,” Trump added.

The former president also took aim at New York Attorney General Letitia James, accusing her of collaborating with the “corrupt” judge to fabricate charges against him. He maintained his innocence, insisting that the case was based on lies.

Why It Matters: The lawsuit, filed by New York Attorney General James, accuses Trump, the Trump Organization and Trump's sons, Eric Trump and Donald Trump Jr., of more than a decade of financial fraud.

James is seeking $250 million in penalties and a ban on Trump being able to conduct business in the state of New York in the future.

Meanwhile, Trump Jr, the former president’s eldest son, took to the stand to answer questions about his involvement in the case.

Trump himself is scheduled to testify in the trial on Nov. 6.
