Palantir Co-Founder Discusses Company's Role In Helping Israel Amid War With Hamas, Stresses Need To Keep 'Good Guys Armed And Ahead'

In the wake of the ongoing Israel-Hamas unrest, Joe Lonsdale, co-founder of Palantir Technologies Inc. PLTR, discussed the company’s position in relation to the ongoing conflict.

What Happened: In an interview with Fox News, Lonsdale shed light on the current predicament, emphasizing the necessity of keeping the “good guys armed and ahead.”

Lonsdale expressed his concern over the unstable situation in Israel as he condemned Iran’s “absolutely terrible terror tactics”

The Palantir co-founder argued for Israel’s “right to self-defense.”

“…Israel is now doing what it has to do to eliminate the bad guys. In our world, you're seeing a lot of volatility around this. You know there are a lot of us who spoke out for Israel’s right to defend ourselves…I think frankly, seeing a lot of solidarity around, you know, there's a lot of people in our world who are pro-US and pro-Israel in our right to defend itself, and a lot of us are being threatened, and a lot of us are standing up anyway,” he said.

Lonsdale also underscored the impact of artificial intelligence in enhancing naval operations and disabling drones. He expressed apprehension over advanced warfare strategies being employed by “bad guys” like Iran and China and affirmed Palantir’s dedication to keeping the U.S. “more advanced to their enemies.”

“We are trying to make sure the U.S. stays more advanced to their enemies and keep them scared…So we were trying to keep the guys armed and ahead,” Lonsdale added.

Why It MattersPalantir focuses on providing software, security, and artificial intelligence (AI) solutions. Governments across the globe, including defense and intelligence agencies, employ Palantir’s software platforms to bolster their security and defense capabilities in various ways.

The recent comments by its co-founder not only signify the company’s stance on global conflicts but also underline the role its technology plays in these scenarios. As technology continues to reshape warfare strategies, Palantir’s emphasis on innovation could be key in maintaining an edge in defense capabilities.
