Around 1,000 individuals congregated at a prominent monument in Buenos Aires, Argentina, dressed as Marvel Comics superhero Spider-Man on Sunday, with the aim of setting a world record for the largest gathering of people dressed as the iconic Marvel superhero at a single public event.

This event was organized by Argentine influencer Uki Deane, who used Instagram to mobilize participants, surpassing a similar gathering in Malaysia in June, where 685 individuals donned Spider-Man costumes.

Set against the backdrop of the famous obelisk monument in Buenos Aires, the event was a striking display of numerous people dressed in skin-tight blue costumes and red masks.

Uki Deane expressed his confidence in achieving the Guinness World Records title, stating: "I wanted to summon 700 people, and from our counting, we are many more. We have more than 1,000 signatures."

In addition to the record-breaking attempt, the event also had a charitable element, with attendees encouraged to bring non-perishable food items for a local soup kitchen.

"We have an amazing community; Argentinians are fantastic and crazy people whom I love with all my heart. One could never have imagined this," Deane told Argentine newspaper La Nación. "It started with the crazy idea of getting a few people together at the Obelisco to take some photos, and shoot a fun video, and it turned into a massive gathering."
