WATCH: Tesla Cybertruck Hauls Raptor Engine Ahead Of Starship's Second Flight Test

Elon Musk‘s SpaceX on Saturday shared a short video of its Starship, exciting space and Tesla Inc TSLA enthusiasts alike as it also featured the EV maker’s upcoming Cybertruck.

What Happened: The nearly 1-minute video shows the Starship and SpaceX team preparing for its second flight test at Starbase. To the end of the video, it shows Tesla’s Cybertruck hauling one of the Starship’s raptor engines, showcasing the much-awaited vehicle’s hauling capacities.  

The Cybertruck would weigh up to 7000 pounds, and can go from 0-60 mph in under 3 seconds, company CEO Musk had previously said. Further details on the electric truck, including pricing, are yet to be revealed.

The Starship, meanwhile, will be powered by a total of 39 raptor engines. While the spacecraft will be powered by 6 engines, the booster will be powered by 33 engines. These engines can be 1.3m in diameter or 2.3m depending on whether they are designed for use in the presence of air or the vacuum of space. Its height, likewise, can be either 3.1m or 4.6m.

Why It Matters: Both Starship and Cybertruck are gearing up for important landmarks in their respective journeys this month.

The first deliveries of the original Tesla-made Cybertruck are scheduled to take place at Gigafactory Texas on Nov. 30.

SpaceX, meanwhile, is looking to launch the Starship on its second flight test as early as Nov. 17 pending regulatory approval.
