Managers have the duty of advancing employee careers and ensuring they adhere to office attendance rules. Amazon's HR department actively oversees this policy's compliance during promotion assessments.
Employees had earlier staged walkouts to protest the return to work policy, including circulating internal petitions in protest of the policy.
CEO Andy Jassy sees a more robust company culture and collaboration between employees once they resume everyday office life instead of remote work.
At the same time, the conglomerate remains in fierce competition with Microsoft in the battle for supremacy in cloud computing, while also enticing customers with holiday season bargains.
Amazon has also utilized AI technology to combat fake reviews, helping it maintain a trustworthy shopping experience.
The stock has gained 66.4% YTD.
