Marjorie Taylor Greene Faces Backlash For Calling Joe Biden 'An Old Fool' In Another Ageist Swipe: 'Wonder How History Will Remember You'

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) found herself in hot water over an ageist comment directed at President Joe Biden.

What Happened: President Biden made a post on his X account regarding his administration’s efforts towards “strengthening American supply chains, American manufacturing, and American workers.”

"I believe that 50 years from now when historians look back on this moment. On our work to strengthen American supply chains, American manufacturing, and American workers," Biden posted.

Greene swiftly retorted, launching an age-related insult at President Biden, calling him an “old fool.”

“No, they are going to say this old fool was in Washington for over 50 years and destroyed America,” she said.

Why It Matters: The online community did not take her comment lightly and hit back hard. Greene’s assertion that Biden had served “in office longer than I’ve been alive” was met with biting retorts like, “He’s accomplished more than you have, which is exactly zero.”

“You are a national embarrassment,” said another user.

Another social media user posted, “he looks younger than you.”

This is not the first time Greene mocked Biden for his age.

In September, she referred to the President as an "old fart" in response to Biden's announcement of the new Office of Gun Violence Prevention within the White House.

"Whatever you old fart. We are electing a new President. Turning 45 into 47," she said.
