Rivian R1T Leasing Starts In Select Districts: Here's How Much It'll Cost You

EV maker Rivian Automotive Inc RIVN on Monday announced that leasing has indeed commenced for its R1T electric trucks, a week after it announced its intentions for the same.

What Happened: Those interested to experience a Rivian can now lease available R1T configurations in select states. “That means you've got another way to get behind the wheel of an R1T,” Rivian wrote on X, formerly Twitter.

The estimated lease amount starts as low as $782/ month for select configuration in particular districts. However, leasing is only available in Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Massachusetts, Michigan, Missouri, New Jersey, New York, Nevada, Pennsylvania, Texas and Washington.

Further, unlike in the case of custom-built R1T trucks which will take about 4 months to be delivered, inventory R1T vehicles will be delivered in 1-6 weeks. The all-electric R1T truck starts at $73,000.

How Much Do You Pay Upfront: At the time of signing, the amount due will include $5000 down payment, first monthly payment amount, $895 acquisition fee, and $0 security deposit. However, the security deposit waiver will not be available for all customers, Rivian warns. Tax, title, license and registration fees will also be added.

As an added benefit, the $7,500 federal tax credit for electric vehicles also applies in the lease offer.
