Hewlett Packard Enterprise Posts Upbeat Earnings, Joins Foot Locker, NetApp And Other Big Stocks Moving Higher On Wednesday

U.S. stocks traded higher, with the Nasdaq Composite gaining around 50 points on Wednesday.

Shares of Hewlett Packard Enterprise Company HPE moved higher during Wednesday’s session following upbeat earnings.

Hewlett Packard posted adjusted earnings of 52 cents per share, topping market estimates of 50 cents per share. The company’s quarterly sales came in at $7.351 billion versus estimates of $7.352 billion.

Hewlett Packard Enterprise shares climbed 8.5% to $16.84 on Wednesday.

• Foot Locker, Inc. FL surged 15.6% to $27.56 after the company reported better-than-expected third-quarter financial results.
• GameStop Corp. GME gained 15.3% to $15.55 after gaining around 13% on Tuesday.
• NetApp, Inc. NTAP gained 15% to $89.75 after the company reported better-than-expected second-quarter financial results and issued FY24 EPS guidance above estimates.
• QuantumScape Corporation QS gained 14.6% to $6.57.
• Diversified Healthcare Trust DHC gained 10.6% to $2.3350. The company issued an update regarding the recent performance of its Senior Housing Operating Portfolio, or SHOP, segment.
• General Motors Company GM surged gained 10.5% to $31.92 after the company reinstated 2023 earnings guidance, announced a $10 billion accelerated share repurchase program and a 33% dividend increase.
• Carvana Co. CVNA rose 9.6% to $34.68. Carvana expanded same day delivery offering to Central Florida residents.
• Sunrun Inc. RUN rose 8.6% to $12.95.
• Workday, Inc. WDAY gained 8.5% to $257.42 after the company reported upbeat earnings results for its third quarter.
