Can Google Save Us From Awkward Typos? This Upcoming Feature Hints So

Google (NASDAQ:GOOGL) is reportedly developing a much-anticipated message editing feature for its messaging platform.

A new database table called ‘message_edits’ has also been detected in the code. It is speculated that this table will store information about edited messages and process them for both the sender and recipient. The message editing feature is currently under development and is not yet operational, even after enabling the associated flags.

In August 2023, Google also began working on adding an emergency SOS feature in Messages, a life-saving addition currently available only on iPhones, to Android 14. The emergency SOS feature is expected to expand rapidly to other countries and users.
