The unique design of the Tesla Inc TSLA Cybertruck has been among the reasons why the vehicle was highly anticipated and surpassed one million reservations prior to the first deliveries taking place in November.
Here's a look at how much one of the most talked about parts of the Cybertruck will cost to replace.
What Happened: Along with its steel frame and bulletproof shell, one of the most talked about features of the Cybertruck is the windshield wiper.
Unlike many vehicles that have two windshield wipers, the Cybertruck has one giant windshield wiper arm that covers the entire windshield.
A new parts catalog shows the prices for replacing parts on Cybertrucks, as shared by the Cybertruck Owners Club forum.
The cost of a new Cybertruck windshield is $1,900 according to the forum. The cost to replace the windshield wiper arm and blade is $165, with the windshield wiper blade alone listed at $75.
Why It's Important: There are over one million Cybertruck reservations according to Tesla, and could be closer to two million reservations according to third-party estimates.
Tesla has estimated it could hit 250,000 units produced annually by 2025.
The Cybertruck has three models that will be available with the first two released in 2024 with starting price tags ranging from $79,990 to $99,990. A third version will be released in 2025 with a starting cost of $60,990.
