Mark Cuban Calls Out Elon Musk's X For Allegedly Demonetizing Major Creators: 'You Up?'

The tech billionaire feud between Shark Tank host Mark Cuban and Elon Musk continues to worsen. The latest is Cuban quipping that one of Musk's pet projects at X, the ad revenue sharing program, is leaving out some major contributors on the social media platform.

What Happened: Musk has touted X's ad revenue-sharing program as one of the reasons for content creators to use the social media platform, but it looks like cracks are appearing.

Cuban took the opportunity to "flag" it off to Musk, asking him, "You up?" and reposting reports of major creators being demonetized on the platform.

"Major breaking news account @rawsalerts, along with MANY other creators on this platform, have been demonetized for weeks now. Ad-rev sharing paused for 2-3 weeks with no effective recourse or feedback," said a user named "Diligent Denizen."

The Rawsalerts account has over 812,000 followers. Several other users with smaller account followings also chimed in, reporting that they have also been demonetized.

The users also report that they have not been given any specific reason for being demonetized, so they are in the dark about what is going on.

While Musk usually responds to Cuban's quips, he has yet to comment on this matter.

Why It Matters: The feud between Cuban and Musk has been ongoing for a few months, largely centered around Cubans’ support for diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) policies.

Musk has called Cuban a "racist" for his DEI support, while Cuban alleged anti-Semitism for it.

Musk's promotion of major creators like MrBeast and others has also not worked well, with data showing that he is better off on Alphabet Inc.'s YouTube instead.
