Trump Supporters Fooled Into Criticizing Their Hero In Jimmy Kimmel's Latest Prank

In a recent segment of “Debate and Switch,” Jimmy Kimmel revealed the double standards of some Donald Trump supporters in South Carolina.

What Happened: Kimmel’s crew asked Trump supporters for their opinions on controversial actions and quotes attributed to Joe Biden, HuffPost reported. However, the catch was that these statements were in reality made by Trump. The supporters were quick to criticize the alleged Biden quotes, unaware of their true source. Their opinions drastically changed once they learned that the quotes were actually from Trump.

The video clip, shared by Kimmel on Friday, showed the supporters condemning the statements when they believed them to be from Biden but defending them once they found out the truth.

Why It Matters: Trump’s controversial comments have often created headlines. Recently, in a speech at the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC), Trump declared himself a “proud political dissident”, taking shots at President Biden and calling out the legal charges against him.

During a gathering of Black conservatives, he suggested that his criminal indictments and mug shot might appeal to Black voters, sparking controversy just ahead of the South Carolina primary.

His remarks at a campaign event in Conway, South Carolina, where he suggested that he would allow Russia to attack NATO countries that don’t meet their financial commitments, were met with criticism and concern.
