Elon Musk, CEO of xAI, recently hinted at a new feature for the company’s Grok AI Chatbot, inspired by the movie “Madagascar” promising to analyze and explain entire threads for users.
What Happened: On Thursday, Musk took to X, formerly Twitter, to tease a novel function for xAI’s Grok. Users will soon be able to tap “Grok, analysis!” in post details for a comprehensive breakdown of the whole thread discussion, according to Musk.
Referring to the movie “Madagascar,” Musk reported, “Inspired by that penguin movie, you will soon have the option of tapping "Grok, analysis!" in post details. It will analyze and explain the whole thread discussion for you.”

Why It Matters: This announcement comes in the wake of the recent controversy surrounding Google’s Gemini AI. Musk emphasized the importance of truth in AI technology, positioning Grok as a tool for this pursuit. Musk clarified that while Grok is not perfect, the AI chatbot is poised for rapid improvement, with version 1.5 set to release in two weeks.
xAI, which was launched by Musk last year as an alternative to Microsoft-backed OpenAI, has developed Grok as a chatbot that uses social media posts from X. This approach gives it access to more recent data for its responses compared to its competitors. News of this innovative feature promises to stir more interest in the AI’s upcoming version 1.5 release.
In January, Musk debunked rumors of xAI securing $500 million of its $1 billion funding goal, calling it “fake news”. Despite this, xAI continues to make headlines with its advancements in AI technology.
