Elon Musk Mocks Don Lemon Again: 'I Suspect People Will Find It Just As Unwatchable As It Was On CNN'

Elon Musk took another potshot at former CNN host Don Lemon’s show, suggesting that it might not be well-received on the social media platform X, which Musk owns.

What Happened: Musk responded to a user’s comment that Lemon’s show was probably canceled because he intended to promote his mainstream media agenda on X, likening it to the style of CNN and former network president Jeff Zucker.

Musk replied, “He's welcome to promote his show on this platform, but I suspect people will find it just as unwatchable as it was on CNN.”

Why It Matters: Musk has been vocal about his vision for X, emphasizing a departure from traditional media models. Musk’s decision not to offer Lemon guaranteed payments for content on X, suggested a desire to avoid “rehashing the dying CNN business model.”

Further tension arose when Lemon allegedly made significant demands to host his show on X, including a Tesla Cybertruck, $5 million in cash, and a stake in X. Musk’s response to these demands was dismissive, indicating a clear stance against such extravagant agreements.

The dispute between Musk and Lemon escalated following an interview where Lemon described Musk as more “touchy or sensitive” than any leader or convict he had interviewed.
