Elon Musk‘s SpaceX is making available refurbished Starlink dishes to U.S. consumers at a discounted price.
What Happened: The company is offering refurbished Starlink kits for $399, a lower price than the standard $599, reported PCMag.
This option is available on the Starlink website and includes the latest V4 standard dishes. The refurbished kits will have the same functionality and warranty as the standard ones.
SpaceX has been selling refurbished dishes in other countries with high demand for satellite internet service, such as Australia, the UK, and Europe. The company is currently selling the refurbished dishes to U.S. consumers in select states.

The sales may attract consumers interested in trying out the new hardware, as the V4 dish offers higher speeds and better upload rates than older models. This is the first time SpaceX has openly sold refurbished Starlink dishes to users.
Why It Matters: SpaceX has been making significant moves in the Starlink space. In a bid to enhance the quality of the service, the company requested regulatory approval to position some of its second-generation Starlink satellites closer to Earth.
Meanwhile, despite a ban on Starlink use in Russia, the company has been facing the challenge of black market supplies of its terminals being used by the Russian forces in their war against Ukraine.
