Bank of Montreal posted quarterly adjusted earnings of C$2.59 per share, missing market estimates of C$2.77 per share. The company's quarterly sales came in at C$7.988 billion missing expectations of C$8.046 billion, according to data from Benzinga Pro.

Bank of Montreal shares declined 7.1% to $89.32 on Wednesday.
