In Trump Vs. Biden Race, Political Expert Says Ex-President's Better Marketing Team Gives Him Edge Over Incumbent: 'The Other Side Has No Clue…'

Patrick Bet-David, a well-regarded political expert and entrepreneur believes Donald Trump’s superior political campaign marketing gives him a major advantage over Joe Biden in the run-up to the presidential election.

What Happened: Bet-David, in a show with Tucker Carlson, highlighted how adept Trump’s team has been at crafting compelling media narratives to boost their campaign’s appeal.

“The clips on this side that they’re going to cut it, edit it, put it out there, the audience is going to go at it. You’re going to see the polls, you’re going to see the reactions, you’re going to see who’s going to be better editors,” Bet-David explained.

He noted the significant impact of having a skilled editing team that can rapidly produce high-quality clips enhanced with the right music and creative B-roll.

“Trump’s camp is a better marketer. They’ve always been better marketers,” Bet-David stated, comparing the opposing political teams. He criticized the competition, saying, “The other side has no clue how to do marketing.”

The conversation also touched on the portrayal of Joe Biden in the media, with Carlson pointing out the often unflattering coverage of Biden. “I see these clips of him daily, drooling and mangling names and identifying his sister as his wife, and he’s just so out of it,” Carlson remarked. He suggested that despite Biden's gaffes, his team managed to present him in a better light during significant events like the State of the Union, making him appear “non-senile.”

Why it matters: Former President Trump has found himself in the headlines for a mix of legal and political reasons over the past week. Amid facing the consequences of a historic conviction, Trump has simultaneously captured a significant social media following on TikTok, a platform he once aimed to ban, highlighting his continued influence and strategic marketing prowess.

Trump, who was recently found guilty of falsifying business records related to hush-money payments to Stormy Daniels during the 2016 campaign, expressed in a Fox News interview that the ordeal has been particularly tough on his wife, Melania. He conveyed uncertainty about public reaction to his potential imprisonment, stating he is "okay with it" but is "not sure the public would stand for it."

Despite these legal troubles, Trump's knack for engaging with supporters remains undiminished. His foray into TikTok has proven immensely successful, amassing over three million followers quickly and demonstrating his campaign's commitment to reaching younger voters, as stated by his campaign spokesperson, Steven Cheung.

According to the Real Clear Politics poll, Trump is leading with 46.3 points while Biden trailed with 45.6 points.
