Taiwan-based Synology Inc. unveiled new data protection and AI-powered surveillance solutions aimed at advanced users, small businesses, and enterprises, on Wednesday.
What Happened: On the sidelines of the ongoing Computex 2024 technology show, Synology showed off its new data protection, surveillance, and backup solutions at a time when owning data is becoming increasingly important.
Key among Synology's announcements are the data protection solutions optimized for high performance and reliability, cost efficiency, and security.
Some of the most prominent clients of Synology include Toyota, SK Shipping, the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO,) and the University of Washington, among others.
For users and businesses that deal with high amounts of data, Synology says its solutions use less storage capacity, while network bandwidth is reduced by up to 99%. This allows for these data protection solutions to run even during business hours without disrupting the workflow. It promises extensive scalability and a setup time of under 10 minutes.
