Shares of Argan, Inc. AGX rose sharply during Friday's session after the company reported better-than-expected first-quarter financial results.
Argan posted quarterly earnings of 58 cents per share, beating market estimates of 52 cents per share. The company's quarterly sales came in at $157.68 million versus expectations of $134.75 million, according to data from Benzinga Pro.
Argan shares climbed 11.1% to $76.78 on Thursday.
