Presumptive Republican candidate Donald Trump’s niece Mary Trump on Tuesday delved into her uncle’s rally in Las Vegas over the weekend and the media coverage of the event.
No Agenda: The media sees its role as translating Donald Trump to make him palatable to people, who aren’t watching the rallies, said Mary Trump in the latest instalment of her Nerd Avengers program. “This is insane and … not somebody who should go anywhere near the levers of power,” she said.
Media personality Danielle Moodie, who took part in the show, concurred with Mary Trump. “I don’t need you to tell me what Donald Trump meant to say, I need you to actually tell us what he said and how incoherent how unhinged how ridiculous and how nonsensical it was,” Moodie said.
The former president invariably doesn’t say anything that had to with the American people, what his policy platform is, what the agenda is of the Republican Party, she added.
Mary Trump, a psychologist and podcaster, said Donald Trump’s Republican surrogates are essentially making up what they want people to think he is saying. “His [Donald Trump’s] pitch to the American people is I’m suffering for you and if they come for me, they can come for you,” she said.

Will Trump Show Up: Political commentator Norman Ornstein, who joined the host, said the press normalizes the abnormal; They cannot yet figure out how to describe accurately the “cognitive decline and Insanity of this person.” He also expressed doubts regarding where Donald Trump will show up at the debate which id due in a couple of weeks.
“If he does there’s no teleprompter there he’ll fall back on his usual stuff. The debate rules say they shut off the mic if you violate the rules of the process, which is anathema to him,” Ornstein said.
He also said people around him in all sanity should tell him “You can’t go ahead and go and do this debate because you’re going to Showcase yourself as a Dr Demento.”
Brain Karem, White House correspondent at Playboy, said Donald himself doesn’t know what he is saying. What the former president used are “simply catchphrases that he’s memorized and as his dementia increases he remembers those, he relies upon those.”
“At the end of the day what you’re witnessing is Donald Trump dissolving into dementia,” he said, adding that the media should quit trying to explain it.
