Lucid's Stock Drives Higher On 2025 Model Year Updates: What's Going On?

Lucid Group, Inc. LCID shares are trading slightly higher Tuesday after the company announced updates for the 2025 model year before the opening bell. 

The Details:

Lucid said enhancements to its 2025 Lucid Air Pure allow the vehicle to achieve 5 miles of range per kilowatt hour of energy via an EPA-estimated range of 420 miles from an 84 kWh battery pack, making it  the most energy-efficient vehicle ever.

The company also said every 2025 Lucid Air model will receive new-generation control hardware and come standard with Lucid’s DreamDrive Premium ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance System). The in-car entertainment experience is also enhanced for Air Grand Touring models with Lucid’s advanced SurrealSound Pro sound system now standard.

“The advancements introduced across the Lucid Air lineup for 2025 further cement our leadership position,” said Peter Rawlinson, CEO and CTO of Lucid. “Lucid Air is the very embodiment of our relentless approach to optimization, enabling Air Pure to use less electrical energy than any other vehicle for any journey taken, A to B."

Lucid shares fell Monday after Cantor Fitzgerald analyst Andres Sheppard reiterated Lucid with an Underweight rating and maintained a price target of $4. The stock also faced headwinds from increasing odds of a second term for President Trump following Saturday’s assassination attempt.
