Danaher Posts Upbeat Earnings, Joins Spotify, MSCI, Owens & Minor And Other Big Stocks Moving Higher On Tuesday

U.S. stocks were mixed, with the Dow Jones index falling around 50 points on Tuesday.

Shares of Danaher Corporation DHR rose sharply during Tuesday's session after the company reported better-than-expected second quarter earnings.

Danaher's second quarter sales decreased 3% year-over-year to $5.743 billion, beating the consensus of $5.59 billion. Danaher reported second-quarter adjusted EPS of $1.72, beating the consensus of $1.57, according to data from Benzinga Pro.

Danaher shares gained 7.4% to $269.35 on Tuesday.
