Apple Inc. AAPL has confirmed that on Monday, Sept. 9, the tech giant will hold its annual iPhone launch event, named “Glowtime.” The event is expected to showcase a variety of new products, including the highly-anticipated iPhone 16 series.
What Happened: The star of the show is undoubtedly the iPhone 16 lineup, expected to come with significant upgrades in processing power, camera technology, and design.
While specific details remain under wraps, several leaks and rumors have made their way to the public.
Everything Launching At Apple’s ‘Glowtime’ Event
The iPhone 16 Pro models are set to feature larger displays, with the Pro version boasting a 6.3-inch display and the Pro Max a 6.9-inch display.
The iPhone 16 series is also expected to introduce a new physical capacitive capture button, which supports force-sensitive half-press actions for various camera functions.
Alongside the iPhone 16, Apple is also expected to launch the Apple Watch Series 10, featuring a new magnetic mechanism for bands and a slimmer design. The Apple Watch SE and the Apple Watch Ultra 3 are also anticipated to be unveiled at the event.
According to reports, the Apple Watch Series 10 is set to bring a sleeker design and larger display sizes, with options expanding to 45mm and 49mm.
Similarly, the Apple Watch Ultra 3 is likely to maintain its rugged design but could see a new processor, paving the way for future AI-driven features. However, major hardware updates, such as a microLED display, might not make an appearance this year.
Moreover, the new Apple Watch SE model could feature a more affordable design with a plastic casing and larger displays.
