Darden Restaurants Posts Q1 Results, Joins Tesla, Nvidia, XPeng And Other Big Stocks Moving Higher On Thursday

U.S. stocks were higher, with the Dow Jones index surging around 400 points on Thursday.

Shares of Darden Restaurants, Inc. DRI rose sharply during Thursday's session following first-quarter results.

Darden reported quarterly earnings of $1.75 per share which missed the analyst consensus estimate of $1.83 per share. The company reported quarterly sales of $2.76 billion which missed the analyst consensus estimate of $2.80 billion.

Darden Restaurants shares surged 7.4% to $170.92 on Thursday.

• XCHG Limited XCH gained 10.2% to $20.25.
• Bit Digital, Inc. BTBT shares jumped 9.4% to $3.14. Shares of crypto-linked stocks traded higher after the Fed’s Wednesday decision to cut rates by 50 basis points.
• MINISO Group Holding Limited MNSO shares jumped 8.6% to $16.44.
• Symbotic Inc. SYM gained 7% to $26.73.
• MicroStrategy Incorporated MSTR climbed 7% to $141.91. Shares of crypto-linked stocks traded higher after the Fed’s Wednesday decision to cut rates by 50 basis points.
• XPeng Inc. XPEV shares rose 6.6% to $9.21. The company disclosed that XPENG Motors will showcase its latest technologies and solutions at the Paris Motor Show 2024 in October.
• James Hardie Industries plc JHX gained 5.8% to $38.30.
• Opthea Limited OPT gained 5.4% to $3.70.
• Tesla, Inc. TSLA rose 4.3% to $236.88.
• NVIDIA Corporation NVDA gained 4% to $117.97.
