In the heat of the U.S. presidential campaign, Donald Trump has once again found himself at the center of a digital blunder.
This time, the Republican candidate unintentionally interacted with parody accounts of Argentine President Javier Milei on Elon Musk‘s X.com (formerly Twitter).

The incident, fueled by a bot set up by Trump's campaign, led to an awkward interaction with accounts named “Milei incestuoso” (Incestuous Milei) and "Milei Mogólico," (which translates to an offensive term Benzinga is choosing not to publish) that mock the Argentine leader.
The gaffe occurred when Trump's campaign deployed a bot designed to automatically thank users who liked his posts.
The message read: "@Milei_Mogolico. Thanks for liking my post! I will send you important updates about the election for North Carolina. Make sure to vote for Donald J. Trump on November 5."
This error quickly went viral, and drew attention on social media not just to Trump's digital strategy, but also to the politically charged environment surrounding Milei.
Parody Meets Politics
It's important to highlight that Milei, considered a libertarian president, has used an offensive term for people with a disability multiple times. This has prompted backlash from various sectors of Argentine society, including the Argentine Down Syndrome Association, which has condemned his use of such an offensive term.
An identical message was directed to the “Incestuous Milei” account, which plays on accusations that Milei was involved in an inappropriate relationship with his sister, Karina Milei, an allegation that surfaced during Argentina's 2023 elections.
Milei has vehemently denied these claims, calling them part of a "campaign of defamation."
