Basketball player Michael Jordan is rumored to have taken delivery of a new Gulfstream G650ER, a popular business jet among the rich and famous.
What Happened: The jet, rumored to belong to the basketball player, features N236MJ on the tailnumber, Business Insider reported on Wednesday.
According to the Federal Aviation Administration, the jet with that particular tail number is owned by MJ Air LLC at the address of Jump Management – the family and business office of the player.

Why It Matters: There are currently over 500 G650 business jets in service. The extended-range or ER version of the aircraft has a maximum range of about 7,500 nm and a maximum Mach of 0.925.
The jet has enough space to seat up to 19 passengers and is owned by popular names including Elon Musk and Jeff Bezos.
Jordan is not a small fish either. According to Forbes, the sportsperson has a net worth of $3.5 billion.
