Tom Brady may have won seven Super Bowls, but his $740,000 Jacob & Co. watch stole the show during Super Bowl LIX. While making his commentary debut at Super Bowl LIX, Brady wore a Caviar Tourbillon, a watch so flashy that it got everyone talking on social media.

A Watch That Sparkles – And Stuns
Brady's watch, designed by Jacob & Co., is definitely a statement of pure excess. The 47mm Caviar Tourbillon is covered in 424 invisibly set baguette-cut gems, arranged to mimic the smooth, luxurious look of a tin of caviar. It’s made almost entirely of yellow sapphires, making it shine brightly. Inside, the watch has a JCAA43 self-winding movement, which powers itself as it is worn. It also has a one-minute flying tourbillon, a special part that helps keep time accurate, and a sapphire case back showing off 338 tiny diamonds inside.
Portnoy's Roast And Social Media Reactions
While Brady's wrist flex made waves, Barstool Sports founder Dave Portnoy wasn't impressed. Taking to X, Portnoy mocked the watch, jokingly asking, "Oh my God, is Tom Brady wearing a Brick Watch?" – a nod to his own $3,000 watch brand, which is much more affordable than Brady's high-end bling.

Fans weren't shy about sharing their thoughts, either. The general sentiment? Not a fan. Many roasted the watch, calling it "gaudy," "tacky," and "uglier than homemade sin." Some compared it to watches from a crane game at a low-rated restaurant, while others questioned why Brady would even wear such an over-the-top piece. As one person said, “I love watches…wouldn't be caught dead wearing that eyesore.”
Luxury Or Eyesore?
Brady's Jacob & Co. Caviar Tourbillon is undeniably a masterpiece of high jewelry and watchmaking, but its bold, flashy look didn't win over the internet. Some fans defended the choice, saying, "He earned it" after his legendary career, but for many, the sheer extravagance of the watch was hard to ignore.

Interestingly, Brady isn't the only ultra-wealthy figure making headlines with expensive watches. Mark Zuckerberg has also been spotted wearing ultra-rare timepieces like a $900,000 Greubel Forsey Hand Made 1 or a $1.2 million Patek Philippe 5303R, among many others. While his watches are expensive, they are a lot less flashy than Brady's.
At the end of the day, Brady can afford whatever he wants, but judging by the online reaction, his Super Bowl LIX timepiece wasn't exactly a fan favorite. What do you think – luxury flex or an eyesore?
