iRobot Reports Third-Quarter EPS of $.27

iRobot Corp. IRBT today announced its financial results for the third quarter ended October 2, 2010. Revenue for the third quarter of 2010 increased 20 percent to $94.2 million, compared with $78.6 million for the same quarter one year ago. Net income in the third quarter of 2010 was $7.0 million, compared with $2.6 million in the third quarter of 2009. Quarterly earnings per share were $0.27, compared with $0.10 in the third quarter last year. The third-quarter results include a $2.3 million one-time tax benefit associated with the release of state deferred tax allowances. Excluding the impact of this one-time benefit, net income in the third quarter of 2010 would have been $4.8 million and earnings per share for the quarter would have been $0.18.
