CF Industries Holdings, Inc reported 3rd quarter adjusted earnings of $1.10 per share, on revenue of $917.1 million.
A poll of analysts conducted by Thomson Reuters showed an average Wall Street estimate of expected earnings of $1.43 per share, on revenue of $979.66 million.
Chairman and chief executive officer Stephen R. Wilson said, “Nitrogen volumes in the third quarter benefited from an increase in winter wheat plantings in reaction to weather-related supply shortfalls in Russia and other eastern European countries. CF Industries Holdings, Inc. “Forward demand was and continues to be very strong as customers prepare for a long fall application window and higher planted acreage for corn in the spring.”
CF Industries Holdings, Inc. (CF) ended the Thursday trading session at $121.19 per share, then fell 4.3% to $116.00 during after hours trading. Analysts covering the company's stock have a consensus price target of $124.31 per share.
