Urban Outfitters, Inc. URBN late on Monday released financial results that beat Wall Street earnings expectations, while missing revenue estimates.
Urban Outfitters, Inc reported that its 3rd quarter net income rose to $73.1 million, or 44 cents per share, up from $62.4 million, or 37 cents per share, a year earlier.
The company's revenue rose to $573.59 million, up from $505.9 million a year earlier.
A poll of analysts conducted by Thomson Reuters showed an average Wall Street estimate of expected earnings of 42 cents per share, on revenue of $582.9 million.
Chief Executive Officer Glen T. Senk said, "We are proud to deliver record third quarter sales and earnings results. In a dynamic environment, the consistency of our performance is a reflection of our team's discipline, creativity, and skill."
Urban Outfitters, Inc. (URBN) ended the Monday trading session at $32.74 per share. Analysts covering the company's stock have a consensus price target of $39.91 per share.
