After reporting earnings and guidance this morning that did not live up to Wall Street expectations, Hewlett-Packard Company HPQ shares are plunging, down 8%, but off the lows of the session.
The Palo Alto-based company provided disappointing guidance, saying it expects to earn $5 per share for the 2011, well below the $5.24 per share Wall Street is expecting.
Shares have come back off the lows, which was $36.04, but are still trading at $down nearly 8%, at $36.64 on nearly 80 million shares.
