UPDATE: FactSet Research Reports 12% Rise In Q3 Profit

FactSet Research Systems Inc FDS reported a 12% rise in its third-quarter profit on Tuesday. FactSet Research's profit surged to $43.3 million, or $0.92 per share, from $38.7 million, or $0.81 per share, in the year-earlier period. The company's revenue climbed 15% to $183.7 million. However, analysts were expecting earnings of $0.92 per share on revenue of $183.1 million. FactSet projects Q4 earnings of $0.93 to $0.95 per share, versus analysts' estimates of $0.95 per share.
