UPDATE: Armstrong World Reports Rise In Q2 Profit

Armstrong World Industries Inc AWI reported a rise in second-quarter net income. Armstrong World reported its quarterly net income at $37.9 million, or $0.64 per share, up from $26.8 million, or $0.46 per share, in the year-ago period. Its revenue climbed to $748.6 million, from $724.8 billion. On an adjusted basis, Armstrong's profit came in at $0.70 per share. Armstrong World shares fell 0.70% to close at $39.50 on Friday.
