UPDATE: MetroPCS Reports Downbeat Q2 Profit

MetroPCS Communications Inc PCS released its results for the second quarter on Tuesday. MetroPCS Communications reported its quarterly profit at $84 million, or $0.23 per share, up from $80 million, or $0.22 per share, in the year-ago period. However, analysts were expecting a profit of $0.28 per share. The company's total revenue climbed 19% to $1.21 billion, while adjusted EBITDA surged 11% to $357 million. MetroPCS Communications shares fell 0.61% to close at $16.18 yesterday.
