UPDATE: Scripps Swings To Q2 Loss

swung to a second-quarter loss on Tuesday. Scripps posted a quarterly loss at $2.2 million, or $0.04 per share, versus a year-ago profit of $99.5 million, or $1.56 per share. Its revenue declined 3% to $183 million. Scripps reported that its television segment's revenue increased 3%, while earnings rose 1.7%. The newspaper segment's profit dropped 67%, while revenue declined 5.6%. Scripps shares dipped 10.27% to close at $7.08 yesterday.
