The Walt Disney Co. DIS said yesterday that net income rose 11 percent with help from ESPN, its theme parks and consumer products businesses. Shares are down 8% today. I guess it's a little smaller world after all. Harry Reid (D-NV) named three Democratic senators to the "super committee" in order to find at least $1.2 trillion in deficit reduction over the next decade. How is this even legal? Oh right, it's not. But then again, neither is online gambling and that's less harmful then Congress. Capital One Financial Corp. COF said it would buy the U.S. credit-card business of HSBC HBC for about $2.6 billion. What's in your wallet?
