Laboratory Corp of America Holdings LH posted an upbeat third-quarter profit.
LabCorp's quarterly net earnings surged to $148.0 million, or $1.53 per share, from $134.3 million, or $1.31 per share, in the year-ago period. Excluding items, it earned $1.76 per share, versus analysts' estimates of $1.74 per share.
LabCorp shares closed at $90.21 yesterday.
