Parker-Hannifin Q4 Earnings: Aerospace Segment Shines, Upbeat Annual Outlook, Stock Soars

Parker-Hannifin Corp PH stock soared after the company reported strong fourth-quarter 2024 results and provided a strong 2025 outlook on Thursday.

Parker Hannifin reported fourth-quarter sales growth of 2% year over year to $5.186 billion and +3% organic growth, beating the consensus of $5.082 billion.

Orders were up 1% year over year, with Diversified Industrial North American businesses flat and Diversified Industrial International businesses declining 1%.

Orders in the Aerospace Systems segment increased 7% year-over-year, maintaining strength despite challenging comparisons from the previous year.

Adjusted EPS improved to $6.77 from $6.08 a year ago, beating the consensus of $6.22.

Segment Sales: Diversified Industrial North America $2.228 billion (-3.2% Y/Y), Diversified Industrial International $1.43 billion (-5.4% Y/Y), and Aerospace Systems $1.528 billion (+19.2% Y/Y).

Adjusted EBITDA margin expanded by 188 bps to 26.3%. The total adjusted segment operating margin for the quarter was 25.3%, up 132 bps YoY.

Parker-Hannifin’s operating cash flow for the fiscal totaled $3.384 billion, compared to $2.979 billion in the comparable period. It held cash and equivalents of $422.03 million as of June end.

“Parker has a very bright future ahead as indicated by our strong outlook for fiscal year 2025, which puts us on track to achieve our financial targets for fiscal year 2029,” commented Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Jenny Parmentier.

2025 Outlook: Parker expects sales growth of 1.5% – 4.5%, with organic sales growth of 2%-5%. The company expects EPS of $22.65 – $23.35 and adjusted EPS of $26.30 – $27.00 versus the $26.33 consensus.

Parker expects a total segment operating margin of 22.1% – 22.5%, or 25.2% – 25.6%, on an adjusted basis.

Price Action: PH shares are trading higher by 9.44% to $560.91 at the last check Thursday.
