Vertiv Holdings Co VRT shares are trading higher after the company reported first-quarter FY25 results.
Net sales rose 24% year-over-year (Y/Y) to $2.04 billion, beating the consensus of $1.94 billion.
Organic sales increased 25% Y/Y in the quarter.

Organic orders (excluding FX) for the TTM ended March 2025 rose ~20% Y/Y and first-quarter orders increased ~13% Y/Y in the quarter.
Adjusted operating profit surged 35% Y/Y to $337 million, with the margin expanding 130 basis points to 16.5%, aided by higher sales, price-cost tailwinds, and productivity.
Adjusted EPS stood at 64 cents, beating the consensus of $0.62.
Liquidity stood at $2.3 billion with no borrowings under the ABL credit facility at the end of the quarter.
Outlook: For FY25, Vertiv raised revenue guidance to $9.325 billion-$9.575 billion (from $9.125 billion – $9.275 billion) vs. consensus of $9.19 billion and adjusted EPS to $3.45-$3.65 (from $3.50 – $3.60) vs. consensus of $3.54.
For the second quarter, Vertiv expects revenue of $2.325 billion- $2.375 billion (vs. $2.27 billion estimate) and adjusted EPS of 77 cents – 85 cents (vs. consensus of 88 cents).
The company projects organic net sales growth of 16.5% – 19.5% in 2025 and 19% – 23% in the second quarter of 2025.
Giordano Albertazzi, Vertiv's CEO, said, ”Assuming tariff rates on April 22 remain constant through year-end, we believe that our diverse manufacturing footprint, operational flexibility, and commercial strategies will progressively lessen the tariff impact as the year progresses. Although the tariff environment remains fluid, our goal is to significantly mitigate the effect of tariffs as we enter 2026.”
