Markets Face Crucial Week Ahead...

This week’s earnings calendar

This week brings a packed schedule of earnings announcements, economic reports, and headline news. After spending much of the last two months focused almost entirely on tariffs, investors will now have several new catalysts to watch.

Last week, Google and Tesla reported earnings. Google delivered better-than-expected results, sending its stock up more than 5% the next day. Tesla, meanwhile, posted disappointing numbers, but shares still climbed after Elon Musk indicated he plans to step away from government commitments and concentrate more fully on Tesla operations.

Now attention turns to a new wave of reports. I'll be closely tracking earnings from Apple, Meta, Microsoft, and Starbucks. Apple, Meta, and Microsoft together represent a massive slice of the overall market, meaning their results alone could have a big impact on market direction.

On the news front, all eyes remain on the ongoing tariff negotiations. Over the weekend, reports hinted at the possibility of a trade deal announcement sometime this week. Similar reports surfaced over the past couple of weeks, hopefully this time it materializes.

Beyond earnings and news, the economic calendar is loaded. The JOLTS report kicks things off on Tuesday, followed by a key GDP reading on Wednesday. Thursday brings the important ISM Manufacturing Index, and on Friday, we'll get the all-important Non-Farm Payrolls (JOBS) report. Together, these data points will offer critical insights into the health of the U.S. economy.

Have a great week!!
