EXCLUSIVE: AgriFORCE's Bold Move, From NASA Tech To Your Plate

Zinger Key Points
  • AgriFORCE's strategy centers around two product lines: the Unthink Flower and hydroxyl devices.
  • "If we can save more of our food ... from the crop to the grocery retailer, that's a good thing no matter what," says CFO Richard Wong.

At Benzinga’s Future of Food: Agriculture & Culinary Innovation’ virtual event, Richard Wong, the CFO and interim CEO of AgriFORCE Growing Systems, shared the company’s method of revolutionizing the agricultural business.

Wong said he hopes to enhance food nutrition and security and reduce spoilage, with an aim to “transform farm family food everyday, everywhere.”

Fighting for Healthier Future

AgriFORCE’s strategy centers around two product lines: the Unthink Flower and hydroxyl devices.

“Our Unthink Flower… has been proven, and it’s patented to provide more fiber, more protein, and less starches,” Wong said. This advancement represents a leap toward more nutritious alternatives to foods like traditional all-purpose flour, he told the Benzinga virtual audience Thursday.

The hydroxyl devices are another pillar, using technology discovered by NASA to purify air within closed environments.

“These devices are basically taking what’s outside in the ozone layer… and replicating and producing hydroxyl radicals within a closed environment,” Wong said, emphasizing the possibility of reducing food spoilage in storage and transport significantly.

Strategic Collaborations, Market Penetration

Wong said AgriFORCE is making proactive efforts in forging partnerships and enhancing product testing to accelerate market adoption.

“We’ve been investing by signing up NDA partners both for our Unthink food … and helping them get through the process of testing,” he said, underscoring the collaborative approach to integrating AgriFORCE’s solutions into the wider food industry.

Looking Ahead

As AgriFORCE continues to push the boundaries of agricultural innovation, Wong’s vision for the company is clear. He emphasized reducing food spoilage and contributing to food security as critical drivers of their ongoing efforts.

“If we can save more of our food … from the crop to the grocery retailer, that’s a good thing no matter what,” he said, highlighting the broader impact AgriFORCE aims to achieve.
