Culprits Found? Spain Has 3 Suspects In Playstation Hack

According to the New York Times, Spanish police have arrested three men they believe are connected to the recent hacks of the Sony SNE PlayStation Networks, as well as a variety of other hacks around the world. The National Police identified the three as members of Anonymous, a group which has claimed responsibility for hacks around the world previously. One of the men, a 31-year old from Spain, was detained in Almería sometime after May 18, the police said in a statment. The police said that that man had a server in his apartment in Gijón, which was used to hack the PlayStation network. In addition to hacking the network, that same computer was also employed in coordinated cyberattacks against a multitiude of banks, government agencies and an Italian energy company. The other two other men, both also Spanish and in their early 30s, were arrested in Barcelona and Valencia. The spokeswoman for the police said that all three men were subsequently released without bail, and awaiting formal charges.
