Statoil Sells 24% Stake In Gassled Joint Venture For $3.25B

Statoil ASA STO agreed to sell a 24.1% stake in a key European natural gas transport venture for 17.35 billion crown ($3.25 billion). The buyer of the stake is Solveig Gas Norway AS, which is 45% owned by Canada Pension Plan Investment Board and 30% by Allianz Capital Partners. STO shares fell 0.27% to close at $25.48 on Friday.
