MedAssets Announces Executive and Board Member Change

MedAssets MDAS today announced that Patrick T. Ryan has stepped down from the company's board of directors and management team. Ryan joined MedAssets in November 2010 following its acquisition of The Broadlane Group, where he served as chairman and chief executive officer since 2008. “It has been almost nine months since we announced that MedAssets and Broadlane would come together to form the industry's leading end-to-end financial improvement company. I am grateful Pat agreed to stay on board to support the integration and to ensure a smooth transition. Together, we assembled a top-class team of senior operating executives, and set the course for future growth,” said John A. Bardis, chairman, president and chief executive officer, MedAssets. “On behalf of our board of directors, we thank Pat for his leadership and wish him continued success and happiness.”
