Hansen Medical Names Peter J. Mariani Chief Financial Officer

Hansen Medical HNSN today announced that veteran financial executive Peter J. Mariani has been named Chief Financial Officer, effective June 20. He will report directly to President and Chief Executive Officer Bruce Barclay. Mariani replaces Peter Osborne, who has served as interim CFO since February 2010. Mariani, 47, has held a variety of financial leadership positions and has extensive international experience at public and private companies. His most relevant experience to his new role at Hansen Medical was the nearly 12 years he spent in senior financial positions with Guidant Corporation, a global leader in the development and sale of medical devices for the treatment of cardiovascular disease.
