Apple Forges Samsung Galaxy Photo to Win Lawsuit? Yeah Right!

Don't believe everything you read on the Internet. There's an image floating around the Web that supposedly came from one of Apple's AAPL legal filings in Europe. Engadget has the full report (as well as the full, un-cropped image). Anyone who has used the Galaxy Tab 10.1 will recognize that something is amiss. In the altered image, both the Galaxy Tab and the iPad 2 look nearly identical in shape and size. But in reality, Samsung's tablet has a longer screen, among other differences. When trying to figure out the source of the image, you have to ask yourself: would the Mac maker really be this stupid? Sure, it's a cocky company with a subpar legal team. But I find it very hard to believe that Apple or its lawyers would be foolish enough to think that a doctored image will help it win a lawsuit. More than likely, this is just another Internet hoax that makes Apple look bad. Listen, Apple haters: if you want to tarnish the company's do-no-wrong image, don't forge a jpeg.
